What is 180Solutions? (Description):
180solutions is an Adware agency whose corporate subsidiary is Zango.com. Zango publishes games and other media that is bundled with Adware. In addition, Zango will not allow the viewing of some media without the compulsory download of certain licenses; these downloads are known to install popup generating Adware as well as monitoring functions. By monitoring a user's browsing habits, 180Solutions can produce "targeted" ads for products the user is more likely to purchase. This type of Web tracking can be done with minimum invasiveness, but it's still considered spying.
According to its privacy policy, 180solutions does not store any of your personally identifiable information. However, it does transmit logs of your surfing history. The visited URLs and search keywords are passed with a unique identifier to a remote advertising server. The server then sends the targeted ad. The later versions of 180Solutions' software allow you to turn off the logging function by clicking on the icon in the taskbar.

What is a
Adware?
Adware, like Malware and Spyware, is a very general term that can refer to a range of programs. The common feature in all of them is that they expose you to advertising. Believe it or not, not all Adware is bad. Whenever you use an application or visit a site that has an advertising bar somewhere on the page, that's technically Adware.
